"Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things."

Daily life at Kodkod, meeting place
If you would like to spend more time with us, you can rent one of our cabins for a few days. Set apart, by themselves in the woods, they are an ideal place to get away from the noise and bustle of the city. Compact, and easy to heat, the cabins are well equipped with cooking and eating utensils and bedding. Each has a spacious bathroom with shower.
Guests will receive a 10% discount at the Kodkod restaurant, and can arrange to have breakfast served for them if desired.
Kodkod is a strategic place to stay for many interesting and exciting holiday activities close by. We are walking distance from the Cañi Sanctuary, and a short drive or bus ride from 3 popular thermal spa resorts (Quimey-co, Huife and Pozones). There are endless opportunities for great hiking in the stunning scenery. Alternatively, you may choose to chill out here. Doing very little is also an option, and the Kodkod park is a great place to unwind. If you want, you can help out with the organic gardens, or just take the time to connect with Nature.
If you do feel like participating in Pucon "city" life, the town is only 20 minutes away, with a regular rural bus service to get there.Concon Cabin. For couples, with, or without children
The most secluded of holiday cabins, this is a private space to be close to nature. Looking out through the trees, you will have constant visits from woodland birds. If you are lucky, this will include the eponymous concon owl, which can sometimes be heard here at night, with its eery calls. Accommodation includes a double bed downstairs. Upstairs is a low-ceilinged loft, equipped with a double bed, and two single beds. This is an ideal combination for couples with or without children. The stairs are fairly narrow and steep, so we would recommend that children ought to be over the age of 5.
The cabin is equipped with an open kitchen/dining area, which opens out with double doors onto a terrace.
The call of the concon is a soulful and mysterious sound, typical of night-time in the Chilean forest.
Chuncho cabin, for families and groups
This cabin is equipped with 6 single beds together in the low-ceilinged upper floor. A further bed can be made up downstairs on the sofa if required to make the maximum capacity of 7 people. The downstairs is dedicated to the living - kitchen - dining room, with its huge windows, as well as a spacious bathroom.
The cabin is named after the little chuncho owl, which can often be seen around here during daylight hours.
The Jabali cabin is right next to the restaurant. We use it for staff and students to live in, when they are here.
There is, however, often a spare bed if required, for a weary backpacker to get some rest. Accommodation comprises a double bed, and two bunkbeds upstairs, and a single bed downstairs. There are also a couple of mattresses in a mansard on the upper floor, if necessary. Downstairs, there is a kitchen, with washing machine, and a dining table.
We get many visitors from overseas here in Kodkod. They come not only as tourists, and some decide to stay (maybe even in a few cases outstaying their welcome). We named this cabin after the wild boar, which is now a well established part of the Pucon fauna, since its arrival during the 1990s from Argentina.
